A reimagined reception blending design, color, and conviviality

Hotel AQUAKUB – Reception

After creating the new room décor for Hôtel AQUAKUB in Aix-les-Bains, our interior architects went on to design the renovation of the reception area.

Driven by the client’s vision, the guiding idea of the project was to create a bold, highly personalized atmosphere.

Through a mix of colors, materials, and styles, this new space becomes joyful, festive, and even playful.

A hybrid between work and conviviality

The great originality of this renovation lies in the creation of a co-working space. The Hôtel AQUAKUB thus offers its customers a new place in Aix-les-Bains for business meetings.

A billiards area plays a key role in the fun factor.

This development is part of a trend increasingly observed in the hotel industry: the hotel is no longer “just” a hotel, it is also a bar, a co-working space… with rooms above…

Our interior designers began by rethinking the organization of spaces

The reception desk has been relocated. It now occupies a more central position, more in tune with the flow of users.

It also offers a more panoramic view of the entrance, elevators and bar area.

A lounge/bar area has been redesigned. It is both more spacious and more intimate, with a steam fireplace, cosy velvet armchairs, carpets and glass and metal screens.

To complement the organization of the spaces, our interior designers expressed their creativity in the accumulation of colors, materials and artistic effects:

  • The luminaires offer great variety and vibrate on contact with rattan, cork and ceramic.
  • The reception desk glistens with a thousand reflections, thanks to small, hand-crafted ceramic fins, reminiscent of the shimmering water of Lac du Bourget.
  • The wallpapers help to personalize each space with highly specific, “street art”-inspired visuals.
