Transformation of a joinery workshop into a prestigious mountain duplex

Conversion and renovation of an apartment in Val-d’Isère

It was in the authentic hamlet of Le Fornet, a few kilometers above Val d’Isère, on the famous Route des Grandes Alpes leading to the Col de l’Iseran, that Agence Amevet stepped in on behalf of developer ERIM to oversee the project management.

A remarkable project, with architecture designed by Fil Rouge and interior decoration by Jeanne Roesch Degoy (Studio 2 Inside).

As project manager, Agence Amevet took on the challenge of giving new life to a former joinery workshop, transforming this rustic space into a mountain duplex of timeless elegance.

The elegance of mountain authenticity

Thanks to a fruitful collaboration with specialized companies, Agence Amevet was able to give this apartment a particularly rewarding final image, where traditional mountain materials such as old wood, stone and granite, subtly selected by the interior designer, bring an authentic touch to the two-storey duplex, while ensuring optimum functionality.

The Fornet duplex apartment is an eloquent example of how architecture can preserve history while meeting the challenges of modernity.

As a specialist in mountain real estate development, ERIM was able to breathe new life into what was once an artisanal space, which has now become a refined mountain apartment, where the charm of the great Alps blends harmoniously with contemporary comfort.

The mission: a delicate transformation

The project required complex adaptation and renovation work, including the creation and connection of networks passing through the paving. The dry-stone walls, naturally more brittle than concrete, had to be rebuilt with infinite care.
