Covering an area of 400 m², including a kitchen and terrace of 100 m² each, the “Table et l’Ardoise” offers seating for 130. The east-facing, glassed-in dining room seats 50. It features a “signature table” in raw eucalyptus, with a tree trunk with foliage running through it.
To the right, the dining cellar offers tastings of local produce and Savoy wines around barrels. In the center, two trees with tables 1.30 m in diameter incorporate subdued lighting for a warm atmosphere. Three alcoves, each accommodating 8 people, offer privacy and comfort for family or business meetings. A private south-facing room can accommodate 18 people…
That’s how you could describe the spirit of La Table et l’Ardoise. Located 300 meters from the entrance to the tunnel through which the Lyon-Turin rail link will one day pass, and complementing the Best Western Cœur de Maurienne hotel, this new brasserie opened its doors in the summer of 2024.
To imagine, fit out and furnish such an achievement, you needed someone from the Maurienne region. Pierre-François Amevet hails from Saint Julien Mont Denis, home of the slate quarry, just above Saint-Jean.
The Agence Amevet team is proud to have accompanied Pierre Deleglise on his new entrepreneurial adventure. Pierre Deleglise has been a haulier and manager of the family SME Trans-Alpes, a hotelier since July 2023, when he opened the Best Western Cœur de Maurienne, and now a restaurateur – all in the same place, since the three businesses are right next door to each other.

Pierre Deleglise’s vision was to come and go without ever having the same experience! This explains the singular spaces with their deliberately different ambience.
And to take your Maurienne connivance a step further, take a look at the fresco created by Mathieu Lainé (Graffmat), a well-known artist and grandson of the founder of Les Karellis resort. It depicts local landmarks such as Joseph Opinel and the Aiguilles d’Arves.
The ambition of “La Table et l’Ardoise” is to offer varied and unforgettable experiences, encouraging visitors to return. It’s true right down to the toilets! But don’t worry, you can see for yourself…
