Renovating and fitting out a mountain chalet in Méribel

This is the story of a renovation that breathed new life into a chalet built in the Alps in Méribel in the 1970s. The interior architects of Agence Amevet applied all their expertise and creativity to transform this once outdated chalet, which no longer suited contemporary lifestyles.

Design and modernity are still very much in evidence in the renovation and furnishings of this chalet. Our interior architects worked extensively on the lighting, giving the project a distinctive identity (LED cords integrated into custom-designed furniture, or installed in the corners of a stairwell…).

After several months of refurbishment, this chalet has a whole new look. Our interior designers have completely reorganized the space to meet the high expectations of its owners, who wanted to welcome family and friends in a cosy atmosphere conducive to reunions.

This chalet is both authentic and contemporary. Indeed, to escape the urban environment of the week, the owners wanted to rediscover the warmth of noble mountain materials: wood and stone, combined with metal.

Children have their own world, in beds designed like shepherd’s huts. Owners enjoy their master suite, and friends have all the comforts of magnificent bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Finally, the owner can share his passion for fine wines in a converted cellar.

This project is also contemporary in its layout, offering all the functionality and comfort of a high-end chalet, where everyone can enjoy a moment of relaxation. Guests gather around a central fireplace in the living room, or a large solid wood table.
