Agence Amevet was able to give life to a strong, singular identity, by imagining a universe that was both warm and quirky. The décor features deep, dark hues of midnight blue and black, punctuated by offbeat burgundy accents.
The furniture fits perfectly into this hybrid space. Stand-up tables are available for a quick break. The parquet-effect tiled floor has been designed to add a warm note, while withstanding the roughness of ski boots.
A tiled control panel affirms the retro-mountain feel of the space. Finally, a red neon sign with a signature phrase, promising a beautiful day in the mountains, adds a modern, urban touch to the whole.
The dream began with a foodtruck that was stored in the garage, but has now been transformed into an 80 m2 hamburger restaurant. Young, sporty, dynamic and passionate!
It’s hardly surprising that the rugged-sounding Ice Burg, aptly illustrated by a polar bear (a figurative element of the logo), quickly became a HQ, a favorite haunt of ESF instructors, who meet there regularly. This core group of strong personalities, who give the place its character, is joined by a varied clientele, ranging from village regulars to holidaymakers looking for a gourmet break. And to enhance everyone’s experience, a screen broadcasts major sporting events, starting with… the Alpine Skiing World Cup.
Open daily from 8am to 6pm, Ice Burg adapts to different times of day. In the morning, the first customers come in for a coffee or snack to start the day. At lunchtime and in the afternoon, service is in full swing, with a steady flow of skiers taking a break and visitors from the village center.
A take-away system is being considered… Ice Burg: a generous adventure that’s only just begun!
