When interior architecture reveals the essence of a place

La Source

Our interior architects developed a store concept based on the client’s guiding vision. The client wished to take over an existing grocery store and transform it into a single space bringing together three activities: a bakery, a greengrocer, and a grocery store.

The perfect balance between aesthetics, function and conscience

The lighting is a mix of technical and accent lighting, with garland and wire lanterns.

An area dedicated to on-the-spot consumption has been furnished with second-hand items, for an authentic, reasoned spirit.

The entire project was carried out with a view to minimizing environmental impact: the store’s design is a no-frills affair. The existing building underwent very few modifications, for a reduced footprint, and the extension was built in wood.

This new “La Source” brand carries in its name references to nature, simplicity and authenticity.

Our interior designers were tasked with translating these themes into the store’s layout.

To achieve this, they have organized the space around a flowing path to lead customers to the different zones, where they will find what they are looking for among a selection of fruit, vegetables, bread, delicatessen products…

The products are presented in a sober fashion on stacked European pallets, in wooden crates, in crates, just like at a market… the emphasis is on showcasing the product!

For the bakery area, located at the heart of the store, simplicity is also a priority.

Bread and pastries are presented on trestles. To meet hygiene standards, discreet glazing plays its protective role.
